Lanay Lynch

Lanay Lynch is the founder of Renaissance Dream, LLC, a Financial Wellness and Woman’s Empowerment consulting company. Through Renaissance Dream, Lanay works with clients to improve credit, develop budgets, control spending, manage business finances and save for the future. To do so, she draws on 22 years of financial industry experience, her training as a Certified Financial Educator, CFEd® and Financial Wellness and Vision Board Leader, as well as her personal experiences with money management. She is as comfortable hosting Financial literacy Vision Board events in her living room as she is presenting at conferences all over the country. 

Prior to starting her own business, Lanay worked in accounting for 22 years handling accounts receivables for multi-million-dollar companies in consumer and debt collections, corporate collections, finance and legal collection. She is a certified credit specialist and holds a degree in accounting. In addition, Lanay has extensive on-the-job experience with business planning, complex analysis, bank reconciliations, outsourced billing, system development and much more. 

A main focus of her work is in imparting the importance of self-love, self-reliance and physical wellness in combination with financial health to people in largely underserved communities. Having “been there” and overcome many challenges in her own life, Lanay remains relatable and disarming in her approach—a trait that enables her to connect in ways that inspire others to take action towards achieving their goals. 

What truly speaks to Lanay's success in this industry is her perseverance. Born and raised in East Harlem, she did not have easy access to financial literacy education or resources early in life. With her mother’s message to "Never Quit" always in mind, she became involved in her community as a high school student, tutoring and mentoring other kids.  While attending Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, Lanay joined the army, determined to serve her country.   The experience was life changing. She achieved a greater understanding of her own strengths and purpose. Lanay returned from the military ready to explore new options, soon to discover her reverence for finance and helping others. Here she is before you today.
